Reading Strategies
We are still working
on story structure and visualization. Please use these strategies when reading
with your student.
Math
We have been
practicing making 10. Please practice counting by tens and making groups of
tens.
Notes/reminders
Please continue to have your
student fill out their December calendars over break.
The Flu season is upon us. We are
doing everything we can to prevent the spreading of germs within the classroom.
There is Germ-X located around the room, wet wipes are available and the desks
are being wiped down/cleaned every night.
Please encourage your student to use these. Feel free to send a personal
hand sanitizer bottle for your student (the little travel bottles).
Our holiday party will be held on
Friday, December 20th. First grade will not be doing a student gift
exchange this year. Each teacher will be buying gifts for their class.
Winter break will begin Monday,
December 23th. There will be no school.
