Math
At this point in the year we are making a strong push towards Math Fact Fluency. At school we will be using a program called Xtramath, using timed fact tests and practicing Math flash cards. You can help at home by practicing a few facts at a time. Start with 0 facts and work up to 9 facts.
We have just finished up our measuring unit and will now move into “Time”. We will discuss time to the hour and half hour.

Notes/reminders


Our chick unit is underway! During our chick unit students will learn about the growing process of a baby chick. We will discuss what the chick/egg needs and the different stages the chick will go through. During this unit we will incorporate other academic areas. We will compare and contrast, make graphs, discuss life cycles, etc.

Reading Journals- Please write the number of minutes read for each day and initial.

Open house/book fair- Thursday, April 24th
