Math
At this point
in the year we are making a strong push towards Math Fact Fluency. At school we
will be using a program called Xtramath, using timed fact tests and practicing
Math flash cards. You can help at home by practicing a few facts at a time.
Start with 0 facts and work up to 9 facts.
We have just finished
up our measuring unit and will now move into “Time”. We will discuss time to
the hour and half hour.
Notes/reminders
Our chick unit is underway!
During our chick unit students will learn about the growing process of a baby
chick. We will discuss what the chick/egg needs and the different stages the
chick will go through. During this unit we will incorporate other academic
areas. We will compare and contrast, make graphs, discuss life cycles, etc.
Reading Journals- Please write
the number of minutes read for each day and initial.
Open house/book fair- Thursday, April 24th
Please let me know if you have
